China's President Xi Jinping offers $2 billion help to countries and promises to make Coronavirus vaccine a global public good

China's President Xi Jinping has pledged $2 billion in response to fight against the novel Coronavirus pandemic for countries over the next two years. He made the announcement from Beijing in a video conference at the annual meeting of the World Health Organization. He also assured that, when the COVID-19 vaccine is finally available, it will be made a global public good, as some companies from the country are nearing final stages of development and testing for the most hoped-for vaccine by the world.
China will provide 2 billion US dollars over two years to help with COVID-19 response, and with economic and social development in affected countries, especially developing countries, said Xi Jinping.
