The Ministry of Railways in India have decided to run 200 fully reserved trains with AC/Non-AC coaches starting June 1 with tickets made available only online with an advance reservation period (ARP) of maximum 30 days, and all coaches including General to be fully reserved by the E-ticketing system of IRCTC. Passengers have already begun booking tickets starting today, May 21 from 10:00 AM (local time). Fare shall remain normal and for passengers booking for General (GS) coaches, fares of second seating (2S) shall be charged, as the ministry assures seats for all passengers. Indian Railways will not accept booking across any reservation counters at any railway stations. You can only book tickets online though IRCTC's website or their mobile app. Passengers with confirmed tickets are only allowed to enter the railway station and a temperature screening has been made mandatory before boarding, allowing only asymptomatic passengers to board the trains.
