Second wave of Coronavirus possibly hits Iran, death toll rises to 7000 and experts claim official numbers are much higher

Iran saw a huge rise in the death toll as it crosses the 7000 mark, killing 51 lives over 24 hours on Sunday. The country's southwestern province, Khuzestan is reportedly the new epicenter for the widespread of the COVID-19 virus and has been marked red on the country's color-coded risk scale. Presently, there is a rising trend in eight different provinces in the country, including Khuzestan. However what is more concerning is the figures officially announced by the Iranian government, as experts inside and outside Iran believes that the real numbers in the country are much higher.
"Khuzestan is in a critical situation," said Health Ministry spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour.[no-sidebar]
